The Hungarian Parliament has approved a new Hungarian Film Law which will pump 4 bln HUF (cca. 13 m EUR) into the national film industry. Under the new law the recently established National Film Fund will become the central body for the support of the Hungarian film industry.
Circumstances are ideal in Hungary for shooting huge international productions, therefore, Ridley Scott’s next movie might be shot here as well. The world famous British director-producer has talked about this in Budapest; the entire conversation could be heard in m1’s television programme.
This year it was held by Hungarian cinematographers Vilmos Zsigmond, ASC – the sole winner of both Oscar® and Emmy® awards – and Emmy® award-winner Elemér Ragályi,HSC.
Atelier participant HIER, the first feature film project by Bálint Kenyeres, Virág Zomborácz’s AFTERLIFE and ScripTeast participant CAR PARK by Bence Miklauzic-Ferenc Lengyel were awarded at the Cannes Film Festival.
